Recognizing Excellence in Neurochemistry
PU-SNCI-Con2026, in association with the Society for Neurochemistry, India (SNCI), invites applications and nominations for a range of prestigious awards recognizing outstanding contributions in neurochemistry, neuroscience, and allied fields.
These awards aim to encourage young researchers, recognize scientific excellence, and honour distinguished contributions to research, teaching, and clinical practice.
1. Suven Life Sciences Pharma Award
Best Poster Presentation
- Eligibility: Research scholars below 30 years
- Membership: SNCI Life/Annual Member
- Award: ₹2000 + Certificate + Memento
- Note: Cannot reapply if already awarded
2. Dr. G.M. Taori Memorial Award
Best Oral Presentation
- Eligibility: Research scholars below 35 years
- Membership: SNCI Life/Annual Member
- Award: ₹2000 + Certificate + Memento
- Note: Cannot reapply if already awarded
3. Shri Akundi Narayana Murty Memorial Medal
Early Career Scientists
- Eligibility: Below 45 years (Postdocs / Early Faculty)
- Membership: SNCI Life Member (mandatory)
- Award: Medal + Citation
4. Prof. Ch. Radhakrishna Murthy Memorial Award
Mid-Career Scientists
- Eligibility: 45–55 years
- Membership: SNCI Life Member (mandatory)
- Award: Recognition + Citation
5. Dr. B. Ramamurthy Oration
- For clinicians and medical professionals in neuro-related fields
- Significant contribution to research/teaching
- Membership: Nominee & proposer must be SNCI Life Members
- Award: Oration recognition + Citation
6. Prof. K. Subba Rao Oration Award
- Eligibility: Senior scientists with outstanding contributions
- Membership: SNCI Life Members
- Award: Oration recognition + Citation
7. SNCI Life Time Achievement Award (by EC nomination)
Highest Honour
- For pioneering contributions and long-term impact
- Membership: SNCI Life Member
- Award: Lifetime recognition + Citation
Application Details
Applicants must submit the following
- Completed application form
- Updated CV (with full list of publications and achievements)
- A short statement (max 1 page) highlighting the applicant’s key contributions
- Supporting documents (soft copies of 5 key publications, patents, impact statements)
- Two letters of recommendation (preferably from supervisors for the poster and oral awards)
- Recent passport-size photograph
Important Dates
- Application Deadline: 10 August 2026
- Result Notification: Via email to selected candidates
- Award Ceremony: During the conference (24–26 September 2026)
