PU-SNCI-Con2026 brings together researchers, clinicians, educators, and students for an intensive six-day scientific experience dedicated to integrative neurochemistry, neuroinformatics, and therapeutics. The event combines focused pre-conference workshops with a comprehensive main conference programme designed to showcase cutting-edge research, emerging methodologies, and interdisciplinary advances across the neurosciences.
The pre-conference workshops (21–23 September 2026) offer hands-on training and in-depth learning opportunities led by experts in the field. The workshops create an collaborative environment where participants can exchange ideas, refine techniques, and build professional connections before the main conference begins.
The main conference and meet (24–26 September 2026) presents a dynamic scientific programme featuring keynote lectures, thematic sessions, oral and poster presentations, and panel discussions. Attendees will engage with pioneering research and explore innovations at the intersection of neurochemistry, computational approaches, and therapeutic applications.
Whether you are attending to explore new discoveries, strengthen professional networks, or contribute to discussions shaping the future of integrative neurochemistry, PU-SNCI-Con2026 offers a unique forum for scientific exchange. Registration options allow participants to join the workshops, the main conference, or the full six-day programme, ensuring flexibility to match individual interests and professional goals.

Prakash Babu, the institution demonstrates a “tremendous commitment to innovation” and promotes “industry-focused teaching programmes and cutting-edge research.” Faculty members actively engage in advanced research and development, collaborating with leading universities and institutions at national and international levels. High-impact publications and the ability to secure competitive research grants stand as testimony to the University’s academic strength.
Spread over 780 acres, Pondicherry University has undertaken sustained efforts to develop a green campus, reflecting its commitment to sustainability and responsible environmental resource management. The University also maintains a strong outreach presence, hosting a Community College, Community Radio, and several other socially impactful initiatives.
School of Life Sciences, PU
The School of Life Sciences at Pondicherry University is advancing the frontiers of biological sciences through excellence in teaching, cutting-edge research, and impactful community engagement. Our interdisciplinary programs span biochemistry, molecular biology, bioinformatics, biotechnology, ecology and environmental sciences, food science and technology, microbiology, and marine biology.
The School of Life Sciences at Pondicherry University has seven departments, including Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Ecology and Environmental Sciences, Food Science and Technology, and Microbiology at the main campus, and Ocean Studies and Marine Biology are located at the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Considering the growing impact of climate change and the requirement for a climate change discipline under the School of Life Sciences, a new Centre for Sustainability and Climate Studies has recently been established under the Department of Ecology and Environmental Sciences.
Society for Neurochemistry, India
The Society for Neurochemistry, India (SNCI) was established in 1979 at the University of Hyderabad, Telangana, originally as the Neurochemistry Society of India (NSI). It was founded to advance the field of neurochemistry in India and to address the growing need for structured training, research development, and scientific exchange among emerging neuroscientists. SNCI is a registered scientific body dedicated to promoting the understanding of brain function through multidisciplinary research and collaboration.
Over the years, SNCI has organized Annual Meetings comprising national and international conferences and workshops, attracting leading experts from India and abroad. These platforms have facilitated the presentation of cutting-edge research, intellectual exchange, and collaborative partnerships in neurochemistry and allied disciplines. Among its distinguished founding members were Dr. B. Ramamurthy, the first President of SNCI and a pioneer of neurosurgery in India, and Prof. K. Subba Rao, the founding Secretary of the Society.
